紧凑的外壳具有一个4英寸大、分辨率为320 x 240的背光显示屏，带照明的按钮便于在黑暗中操作。该清晰的液晶用户图形界面在直观的导航系统下易于数据读取。互动工具提示为用户提供一步一步的操作说明，有助于操作该器件，屏幕会显示下一步的操作步骤。
PM100D系列功率计拥有4个标准测量屏幕选项。第Y个选项是一个数字读数，用于标准功率和读取能量。第二个选项是一些典型模拟设备上常见的调整针，然而经过优化，在此显示屏中用于数字读出。第三个是一个调整图形，方便用来做CW和脉冲激光器的微调。

连通性
如右图所示探头接口，启动“支持热插拔”快速传感器交换。探头接口包含所有的探头信息，包括NIST-可溯源的响应曲线，探头类型和型号。
SD内存卡槽（附带一个2GB的SD卡）即使在单机操作下也能进行数据记录，在户外或远离实验室中计算机的情况下为用户提供了大存储平台。也可以通过USB PC连接器和控制软件储存数据。 PM100D软件能够同时处理多达八个表头。PC控制软件和功能的详细信息请查看软件标签，该标签页也包含基于LabVIEW™，Visual C++，Visual C#和Visual Basic的编程参考指南。
此外，遥控操作和数据记录时，USB连接可以作为锂电池的充电系统。还包含一个AC电池充电器，它使用智能电池充电管理系统，提高了电池的寿命并降低了电池的记忆效应.
