主要用途：

计算机周边设备生产厂用CF转IDE卡配合CF卡来测试主板，声卡，显卡等产品。在这些场合需要频繁打开/关闭电源，传统机械式硬盘很容易损坏。CF卡是一种电子式硬盘，原理上与机械式硬盘截然不同，在这些场合不容易损坏。

便携式仪器使用嵌入式X86或RISC内核通常都有IDE接口界面，如果CF卡不能直接连到这些仪器设备上，您就可以使用本适配器来完成转接。

个人电脑（PC机）：这些电脑通常都是X86内核，这是该卡主要使用平台。一些数码相机具有CF卡接口界面，你可以在台式机上通过本卡存取您的图片数据。

工业PC机使用本卡和CF卡配合使用，用来存放嵌入式操作系统例如嵌入式LINUX或WIN CE。您也可以把CF当作一个移动的硬盘，这样数据就可以随意移动了。
